Excellent, Outstanding, Amazing, Unforgettable are just some of the words I would use to describe our Africa Dream Safaris trip. From our first contact with ADS until the end of our tour, ADS was there to answer our questions, make recommendations and provide support for this amazing adventure. As this is the year of Covid, ADS made sure that every place we stayed and visited was safe.
WOW! A second five star, truly memorable safari with ADS. Let me first answer the following 2 questions. Why did we select ADS for our dry season safari after having just gone with them for the green season this past February and secondly why was our second experience so close temporally with the first.
We’ve just returned from our Africa Dream Safaris adventure and are in awe of the experience. The prep guidelines that Dawn provided were on point. After landing at Kilimanjaro airport we were ushered through COVID testing and immigration ahead of the crowd.
We had the trip of a lifetime, thanks to ADS and our driver Chris. From the moment we landed in the Kilimanjaro Airport, ADS was there to make sure everything went smoothly. We choose to have an extra day in Arusha which we would totally recommend because, by the time you get the Arusha Coffee Lodge it’s after 10:00pm. The driving tour of Arusha, the cultural center and the coffee tour were all possible because of the extra day.
Our trip started quietly with a visit to the School of St. Jude to be with one of our two sponsored students, a charity that ADS encourages. Very proud of Henry. And then a special Anniversary moonlight dinner at the Arusha Coffee Lodge.
The trip we thought would never come (due to COVID-19) was finally here! My entire family was very much looking forward to spending the next two weeks in the beautiful country of Tanzania!
A heartfelt thanks to ADS for far exceeding our expectations in planning and follow through for our life changing safari adventure! We fell in love with the beautiful country of Tanzania and it’s wonderful and welcoming people.
On our very first date in 1966 my wife and I talked about places that we wanted to see someday and Africa was at the top of the list for both of us. Life got in the way and it took us until 2014 to finally decide to make our dream come true. Fortunately we chose ADS to plan our “Once in a Lifetime trip” but we found that it exceeded our expectations so much that we just had to go back in 2018, and now we have just returned from our third trip to Tanzania with ADS in August 2021.
Our trip to Tanzania with Africa Dream Safaris was indescribable and practically perfect. We had been to Tanzania on safari twice before with our kids. We had always wanted to go back but I was hesitant because the trips with our kids were so wonderful. I was afraid it wouldn’t be fun without them.
Our family of seven including two grandparents, two daughters and three grandsons took a trip of a lifetime to Tanzania with Africa Dream Safari. The trip exceeded all expectations! From the excellent communications of pre-trip planning to completion. The only stressful piece about air travel was getting a Covid test 72 hours prior to arriving in Tanzania, which in fact was uneventful. The great part was everyone on our planes going and returning had tested negative for Covid.
We’ve just returned from 12 days in Tanzania with Africa Dream Safaris and it was overall one of the most memorable journeys we have ever taken. From the first day on the ground in the North Serengeti we were amazed at the number of different animals we saw including lion, giraffes, elephants, ostrich’s, and many more. And it only got better after that. We were able to witness a parade of hippos just outside of room as they arose from their afternoon nap and lumbered into the river.
In a word, perfect. Our guide, Pokea, had a 6th sense for where there would be animals and action. The first day we witnessed a crossing of the Mara River by wildebeests. From there, we saw everything from a lion kill to a leopard. We even had a close-up experience with cheetahs. It was beyond anything we imagined we’d see.
We just returned from another safari with Africa Dream Safaris and we are so glad that we didn’t put it off until another year. We found that there was no need to worry about the effect that Covid might have had on venturing on a safari to Africa. ADS only uses lodges and camps where the staff observes Covid protocols of mask wearing, hand sanitizing, and in some places, temperature readings.
ADS earned our trust, respect, admiration and profound gratitude on our first safari so there was absolutely no question of who to turn to for our second. A safari in the age of Covid sounded daunting, but ADS met every challenge with the same high standards of commitment, excellence and assistance that is their hallmark. This trustworthiness is one of the big reasons we chose ADS again.
Africa Dream Safari was THE BEST!! We received excellent suggestions from Dawn and Michael throughout our planning for this amazing vacation! Dawn listened to what we wanted, offered great feedback, and customized an itinerary that was perfect for the four of us! Truly, our time in the “bush” and going on game drives was spectacular!
