For all my life, I have dreamed of a safari in the Serengeti. At our usual birthday cake eating at work, it was my turn to answer the 3 questions we all get asked: Favorite family tradition, who would you like to have dinner with, and what is your number 1 bucket list item. When I said my bucket list item was a safari in the Serengeti, it finally clicked “why do I just keep saying it, it’s time to do it!”
People keep asking about our African Safari and it’s still hard to put into words. We have told people that if we could use one word to describe the trip, it would be “SURREAL”! All the planning for the perfect safari was easy with African Dream Safaris. Sharon Lyon walked us through the process step by step. She allowed me to plan the trip to fit our wants, needs and budget making it a success from the start.
It was much, much more than a safari, it was life changing is so many ways. Oh how true this was all 10 days of our Safari. When our friends Nancy and Lenny asked us if we wanted to go on a Safari with them, we had no idea what to expect. This would be their third safari with ADS. They tried to tell us what to expect and we watched every video on the ADS website and read all the blogs! It still was beyond our wildest dreams.
This was a long anticipated trip at the top of our bucket list. We had looked for several years at various safari tour companies, mostly group tours until we discovered Africa Dream Safaris and their private tours. We are two couples who have traveled all over the world for over twenty years.
We recently went on our third safari with ADS and once again it exceeded all expectations. We were met at the airport and whisked right through the Visa process and on the road to the beautiful Lake Duluti Lodge. This time we went with some friends that had never been to Africa before.
Our recent trip to Africa including a safari to Tanzania and gorilla trekking in Uganda was truly a trip of a lifetime. The wildlife viewing, accommodations, staff, guides, service and overall experience completely exceeded our expectations.
Our recent trip to Tanzania with Africa Dream Safari exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we stepped off the airplane to the moment we boarded to go home we were accompanied by ADS staff who guided us and made sure we had everything we could possible need.
My husband and I just got back from a 10 night safari with ADS. It was even better than we had expected! The 2 nights in Arusha on the front end was a good decision, to rest up after long flights from the US. The Lake Duluti Coffee Lodge had very nice accommodations. This is where the culinary delights started and continued throughout the trip.
Our hearts sank as we saw the horde at Immigration deplaning at Kilimanjaro. But then we see our name beckoning on a placard. Skirting round the corner past the teeming horde, we are greeted and whisked past the crowd to wait near the Customs Officer’s booth. Assisting with Immigration and clearing us well ahead of the madness is most welcome ADS; asante sana. Many of that horde were also coming for safari.
African Dreams Safari took care of everything, our first time on a safari, making the trip a breeze. As we got closer to our safari, Dawn Anderson answered all our questions, putting our minds at ease.
I emailed ADS and received a prompt response from Sharon. After a few months of discussions Sharon provided us with an itinerary for a 10 day private safari. We wanted an authentic experience so we opted for the custom Hemmingway Camp option. This included 2 nights at River Camp in the Northern Serengeti, 4 nights in Seronera Sametu Camp in the Central Serengeti and 2 nights at Lions Paw Camp at Ngorongoro Crater. Our favourite location was the Central Serengeti and the Seronera Sametu Camp.
Our Africa Dream Safari was an exciting dream come true. From initial planning to every detail of our incredible trip, ADS delivered the ultimate safari experience.
Our Safari trip with Africa Dream Safaris far exceeded our expectations. From the time we arrived in Arusha to the time we completed our tour we felt well taken care of. With the careful logistical planning that ADS provided, we were able to breeze through customs and immigration and it was a comforting feeling to have an escort that we could trust.
I just wanted to tell you what a fantastic safari experience we had in Tanzania. It was more of an adventure, in a very good way, then I could have ever imagined. The accommodations, as well as the food, were first class. Our guide, Ally, was so experienced and knowledgeable that he was like a member of the family showing us the wonders of where he lives.
Our safari exceeded all of our expectations and it was because of the amazing people at Africa Dream. From our trip advisor Sharon Lyons to the team that met us when we landed at Kilimanjaro Airport and ushered us through customs; from the individual and special welcome at each lodge to our knowledgeable and attentive guide, Davis, our African vacation was truly an awesome, once in a lifetime experience.
