My 8th safari adventure with ADS and it keeps getting better! Starting in 2005 with a family trips and the three of us in one vehicle, to groups of friends and up to four vehicles ADS has every safari planned seamlessly. This trip there was 14 of us from Canada – 13 who were experiencing Tanzania for the first time.
March of 2024 brought to reality a trip that was close to 10 years of dreaming, talking and planning. We covered the Central and Southern regions of the Serengeti, Crater highlands and the Rift Valley…nothing was left out. Finding words to adequately describe the experience has proven to be hard since all our descriptions seem to fall short of the real deal.
When you grow up watching Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom, and your husband asks you where you’d like to go for a milestone birthday, you say, “On safari!” At least I did, and our experience was incredible!
Returning to Africa was on our bucket list. We are two women over the age of 60. We wanted a private safari for wildlife and bird viewing. We booked the African Dream Safari, 12 day Hemingway Tour and were assigned a personal representative, Sharon. Sharon, Russell our guide and African Dream Safari exceeded our expectations in every way!
Our adventures with Africa Dream Safaris far exceeded our expectations in every possible way imaginable! We were excited to observe the wildlife in their natural habitat. We never dreamed that everyone at ADS and the wonderful people they worked with would not only become friends but family (Sharon, Janeth, Sambe, Russ and Michael are just a few of our new special friends).
From the moment we arrived in Kilimanjaro, we were embraced as friends, and this warmth and hospitality continued until the very end of our journey. Our adventure began and ended at Arusha Coffee Lodge, which provided the perfect introduction and conclusion to our safari. We also highly recommend visiting the social enterprise ‘Shanga’ whilst you’re there, and making time to participate in one of their workshops for an inspirational experience.

We have recently returned from our second safari with Africa Dream Safaris (ADS) and all I can say is it was truly a trip of a lifetime! Admittedly, I was reluctant to return to the Serengeti after our trip with ADS in 2018. I was concerned that it might be a let down the second time around as our first trip was an amazing, life altering experience. My wife Donna has a certain persistent way about her and lucky for us we returned! My skepticism couldn’t have been more wrong as Sharon pulled out all the stops to deliver a truly amazing experience.
Our Africa Dream Safari was an amazing trip. From our arrival at the airport to our departure we felt welcomed and cared for. Our guide Alex was wonderful, with an educational background (PhD) in wildlife ecology, years working for Serengeti National Park, and experience supervising a group of safari camps.
This was our second trip to Tanzania with Africa Dream Safaris (our first safari was in October 2021). We were wondering if a second safari might be boring but every day proved to be a new and exciting adventure. Our guide Fazal knew where the animals would be hiding, and even found a family of bat eared foxes and a very rare caracal!
We just returned from our 4th safari with Africa Dream Safaris and it was every bit as magical as our first. My wife, DeeDee, was a little reluctant to return to the Serengeti again as she was concerned it could not be as good as the last…boy was she wrong!

I travel frequently and this safari with Africa Dream Safaris was, without a doubt, the most incredible trip of my life! From the minute my plane landed in Tanzania and until I departed, the experience was amazing! The ADS staff who greeted me were so kind and so helpful! I was completely in awe during the entire trip at the level of coordination through every part of this amazing safari!

I feel as though I had stepped through a portal into a new, vast and wondrous life scape that enriches my present existence beyond measure.
In August 2023, I realized a decades-long dream of going on a safari. I originally planned a trip for 2010, and selected ADS based on a recommendation I had received years before and thankfully kept. Things changed, as they do, and that trip never came to fruition. At that point, I told myself that within a year of retiring, I would make that dream a reality. And I did!
