This Is An Experience I Will Never Forget.

If you have ever wished that you could go on a safari in Africa this is the company to contact. Africa dream safari turned our dreams into reality and made our once in a lifetime trip one that we can’t wait to repeat. From the first contact Sharon was receptive, helpful, and completely patient while we asked question after question, and made tons of changes to our itinerary.

We Were So Pleased We Chose A Private Safari Instead Of A Group One.

My wife and I finished our 10 day Tanzanian Safari to Serengeti Plains, Ngorongora Crater and Lake Manyara in early February. It was an amazing experience – more so than we imagined it would be. Africa Dream Safaris organized every detail perfectly. Any questions we had were immediately answered. In fact, the company provided a very detailed book before the safari filled with information about what to expect and what to take with us. One concern I had before the trip was what to do about toileting while on safari. This turned out to be a nonissue as our guide stopped every few hours at bathroom facilities

Nature In All Its Glory!

It’s hard to put an experience like this into words. Everyone I spoke to about going to Africa said it was a life changing experience, and although I knew it would be great, I didn’t expect it to be all that. One of my friends said to me before I left to ‘be prepared that Africa has a tendency to keep a piece of your heart’. Now I understand what she meant!

LOVED our African Dream Safari!

We had the best time with the BEST guide Tumsifu this past March. He took us places other safari companies did not go and went above and beyond our expectations. We saw so many animals, including animals we did not expect to see like a tortoise. We also seen a baby Thomson gazelle minutes after it was born, the mother was still cleaning it off and it couldn’t even walk yet.

April is always a show stopper in the Serengeti. Safari guests are treated to the spectacle of the Great Migration with herd sizes so vast, they defy description. During this lush Green Season, over a million wildebeests are concentrated primarily in the Matiti and Macau plains in the South Eastern Serengeti. This herd stretches west to Ndutu and Lake Masek thrilling our clients who stay in the lodges and tented camps within these areas. LEARN MORE about traveling in the green season or CREATE YOUR OWN ITINERARY during this magical time of year. Below are some of our favorite guest testimonials from trips to Africa in April.

A Safari In Tanzania Should Be At The Top Of Everybody’s Bucket List

We’ve just returned from the trip of a lifetime! We were a group of six and were looking for a private tour company that could provide the best of what Africa has to offer. Africa Dream Safaris was the tour company that was recommended to us as the best, most attentive and most reliable. Our expectations were high but we were not prepared for the magnitude of what were about to experience.

We Feel So Blessed To Have Witnessed Mother Nature At Her Finest

After contemplating an African safari for some time, I decided to start seriously looking into such an adventure about 8 months ago. I did a web search and found a handful of tour operators and called several of them and their references. I never really felt comfortable with any of them and then I made the call to Dawn Anderson with Africa Dream Safari and the rest is history.

What A Grand Experience!

My husband and I visited the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater between Thanksgiving and Christmas at the beginning of the rainy season (no it didn’t rain). We stayed in Amsterdam for 2 nights and 2 nights in Arusha (The Coffee lodge). I strongly recommend this extra time because we were refreshed and ready to get up at the crack of dawn each day. At the Kilimanjaro airport we were quickly swept through the Visa and customs lines. It was seamlessly accomplished. Our contact guides in the city were wonderful and welcoming with a wealth of information to my relentless questions.

Young Lion Wanders Into The Wrong Territory

A standard game viewing moment on the Serengeti Plains took a dramatic turn when safari guests witnessed a pride of lions attacking a subadult male lion. It appears the young male lion had wandered far from its own territory and accidentally to a kopje (granite outcropping) that was inhabited by a neighboring lion pride. Lions are not tolerant of other lions from different prides and can be especially aggressive towards unknown male lions. Our guests have captured a rare look into the dark side of lion pride behavior.

This video was filmed in the Serengeti on January 2018 near Seronera Sametu Camp by Lesley Young and Lon Hall. Thank you for sharing!

Planning an African Safari Adventure

Is an african safari on your bucket list? When our guests inquire about a trip with Africa Dream Safaris, they receive a custom-tailored itinerary designed to meet their specific needs and travel interests – no two trips are alike.

It may sound rather obvious, but one thing we’ve found from our 20+ years of experience in this industry is that different people are  interested in different things. This of course is a simple fact of life, and it doesn’t become a problem until these different interests start competing with one another on a group safari.
