Stunning sunrises, animals galore, star filled night skies, the most welcoming people on earth, beauty and stillness like nowhere else! And this was only day two! Four girlfriends set out for an adventure and had an amazing trip of a lifetime with Africa Dream Safaris in March – April 2018.
I love Africa and all that it offers, to both the heart and the soul. To me there is no place quite like it on Earth. It is hard to explain this to people who have never been, but it is truly life changing, and I love to share my experiences traveling there with my friends.
An African safari was definitely a bucket list for us so when my brother in law asked us about going in February we jumped at the chance. It was great, he researched the various companies and Africa Dream Safaris was the above and beyond the premier company to book with.
I am a professional cinematographer/photographer and a lover of Tanzania. With regards to wildlife, the two go hand in hand.
Like everyone leaving their comments here, I recently returned from the Serengeti. And again, it has left a huge impression. The fact that this was my 5th safari with Africa Dream Safaris alone speaks volumes… and writing an ordinary glowing “review” seems redundant. I’ve done that previously. So I’ve decided to include some pictures and address something that my friends often inquire about when I tell them about my trips to Africa… let’s call it “ What do I do next?”
We are now back from our trip with ADS and feel so blessed to have been able to do this trip and enjoy the incredible people and animals of Africa. We learned so much and have thousands of pictures to now go through to relive memories. Not only were the animals amazing but all the people we met in Africa, in the camps, shops, and along the way were so warm and generous. We learned much about the culture and history of the people as well as about the behaviors of the animals we saw.
I am a photography enthusiast and envisioned opportunities for wildlife encounters like those I saw on the ADS blog/website. The numbers of wild animals was astounding. Many animals were just yards from our land cruiser.
When we made the decision to go on Safari we had many options of tour companies. Friends recommended Africa Dream Safaris and we must say it was the best decision we could have made. ADS delivered on every promise and exceeded many.
We checked a big one off the bucket list with our private safari in Tanzania. Of course, from all we heard and read, we knew it would be quite an adventure, however no one could have ever described just how thrilling the safari would be!
Nine of us women, mostly teachers and friends, set off for Tanzania to experience the most thrilling adventure many of us will never forget!
I am compelled to write this blog about our recent safari experience with Africa Dream Safari for several reasons. You see, I really had no idea what I was to get out of the experience. I am not an avid photographer and I am not necessarily an ‘outdoorsman’. I just knew that I was looking for something that did not fit into my definition of a ‘standard vacation’.

We visited 3 different camps in the Serengeti and they were all amazing. The people and culture were an experience we will never forget.

My wife and I finished our 10 day Tanzanian Safari to Serengeti Plains, Ngorongora Crater and Lake Manyara in early February. It was an amazing experience – more so than we imagined it would be. Africa Dream Safaris organized every detail perfectly. Any questions we had were immediately answered. In fact, the company provided a very detailed book before the safari filled with information about what to expect and what to take with us. One concern I had before the trip was what to do about toileting while on safari. This turned out to be a nonissue as our guide stopped every few hours at bathroom facilities
