Cheetahs are the world’s fastest land animal! Reaching its top speed in just 3 seconds, they can run 70 mph – most highway speeding limits.
These fascinating animals have tails that are long, muscular and flat in shape. Their tails function like the rudder on a boat because cheetahs use it to help keep their balance and steer when running very fast.
On safaris in certain parts of Tanzania, cheetahs have become habituated to vehicles out in the plains. Watch this amazing video of a cheetah climbing up on our safari guests roof!
