The Green Season With Phil & Lynn

I picked up my two clients named Phil and Lynn from Virginia, USA at the Central Serengeti Airstrip on March 11, 2014. They arrived on the morning flight, which lands at about 10am. This is a great way to begin a safari as we get a chance to immediately have some wonderful wildlife sightings before lunch. This was their 2nd safari to Tanzania and after having been several years ago in September 2011. We explored lots of remote areas on this trip and the clients were thrilled to finally experience the green season in the Serengeti.

We had several different sighting of big cats, the wildebeest migration plus dozens of species of birds. For instance, from Kusini to Simiyu in the southwest Serengeti was where we found thousands of wildebeest with their babies. It was an amazing sight! Triggered by the rains, the migration was pouring out of the woodlands and moving onto the short grass plains.

All in all the entire trip was marvelous and the following are some of the pictures to share with you:

– Retired Bull Elephants down in the Ngorongoro Crater.

– A pride of lions at the Ngare Circuit – East Serengeti.

– Mother lion with her cubs of 3 weeks old at Soit Kopjes in Serengeti.

– Another group of female and male lions with beautiful cubs of almost 2 weeks that we found in Ndutu, South Serengeti.

– Pride of lions at hidden valley, South Serengeti.

– Greater migration that we found at Simiyu Circuit – Kusini woodlands, Southwest Serengeti.
