This was our second trip to Tanzania with Africa Dream Safaris (our first safari was in October 2021). We were wondering if a second safari might be boring but every day proved to be a new and exciting adventure. Our guide Fazal knew where the animals would be hiding, and even found a family of bat eared foxes and a very rare caracal!
This time we also saw the big five, and have clear pictures of a mother and baby rhino. We also tracked cheetahs, found a mother lion with four, 3 week old cubs, and the next morning saw her carrying one cub to their new home.
We realized how fortunate we are when we toured a village school. The children were so happy, with huge smiles, but the conditions (as a retired elementary school teacher) were shocking. There is no running water, lack of books, playground equipment or technology.
From the moment you land in Kilimanjaro airport, Africa Dream takes amazing care of you. There is a person waiting for you when you get off the plane, and takes care of passport control while you sit in the VIP lounge. Then the meet and greet team took us to the coffee lodge, and made sure we were checked in.
The next day they toured us around Arusha, and took us to the small airport to start the safari. The lodges were all wonderful. Everyone is so happy to greet you and make sure your stay is wonderful. We discovered that the early morning game rides had some of the best animal viewing.
Again, going the safari is an experience you will never forget. We are already planning our next adventure with Africa Dream Safaris.
