Leading up to our safari, my daughter and I watched all the nature programs we could on Africa and the Serengeti. We were prepared and excited. So, we thought. Nothing could have prepared us for the experience we had with Africa Dream Safaris. Our safari far exceeded our expectations.
We had an excellent experience from the moment we landed in Kilimanjaro. Our greeters located us quickly and were very informative on our itinerary and the entire safari experience. Our group chose to do a caravan safari so we had two vehicles and two guides. This allowed us so much flexibility and freedom.
Our guides Ally and David were the biggest factor in making our safari extraordinary. Their knowledge and expertise allowed us to be able to see every animal we wanted. Not only would they locate the animals, but they would also position us to have the best viewing angles and even take the position of the sun into account for excellent photos. We loved having dinner with our guides, recapping the day and planning the next day’s adventures.
We knew we would see animals, but had no idea how many we would see and how close we would get sometimes. Pictures cannot convey the beauty and vastness of the Serengeti. Though somehow the hospitality at all of the lodges rivals the wildlife.
Each of the five lodges we stayed at had their own unique experiences but unparalleled hospitality was the one common denominator. Meals were prepared with love and the chef would always check on his guests. Accommodations were top notch. Even the more rugged lodges there was still always a feeling of luxury.
Africa Dream Safaris offers a diverse selection of optional activities. We all enjoyed our visit with the Maasai, the walking safari, the night game drive, the balloon safari and visiting a local school. We had such an amazing time we would like to return in the green season as soon as we can! My daughter and I agree that this has been the best trip of our lives.
Thank you once again for setting up this amazing experience!

Fun to read your story. My husband, daughter and her husband went in March of this year. We all agree. Such a fabulous company, guide, and lodging. It was a lifetime trip. So many baby animals. We saw baby everything. The beauty of the Serengeti is in my heart and soul. We are planning to go back in 2021.
