Guide Report and Photos for April 2016

Hi all again! This is Russell Temu, an ADS professional guide based in Tanzania, East Africa. I just finished my most recent safari with a group of five guests from the USA. The end of the green season including March, April and May is one of my favorite seasons to be out on safari in the famous Serengeti and Ngorongoro Ecosystems. The wildlife viewing is usually amazing during this time of year and this safari certainly did not disappoint.

I guided five guests from the USA named Ann (this was her fourth safari to Tanzania), Julia, Diane, Mary and Sandy. We had two nights at the Serengeti Serena lodge in the Central Serengeti, three nights at Lake Masek Tented Lodge in the South Serengeti and one night at Ngorongoro Serena lodge on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater. For seven days in the bush we had a chance to cover some very remote and beautiful areas including Seronera valley, Moru kopjes, Maasai kopjes, Utafiti kopjes, Makoma plains, Gol Kopjes, the Triangle plains, Ndutu, Matiti plains, Olduvai Gorge and the Ngorongoro Crater. I hope you enjoy my pictures below!

  1. Your safari experience account brought back many wonderful memories and has pushed us to return hopefully soon sgain
We have never seen the great migration and the crossings of the Mara river
When do you expect the crossings in the. Masa this year ?
It seems as the.green season in the South has been prolonged and will delay this event this year?

  2. Russell, your photos make us want to be back on safari with you! Your skills as a guide and photographer are superior. We think of you often and wish you and your family well. The kindness and patience you showed us on our safari were greatly appreciated and we hope to someday be back on safari with you!
