Our adventures with Africa Dream Safaris far exceeded our expectations in every possible way imaginable! We were excited to observe the wildlife in their natural habitat. We never dreamed that everyone at ADS and the wonderful people they worked with would not only become friends but family (Sharon, Janeth, Sambe, Russ and Michael are just a few of our new special friends).

ADS effortlessly and seamlessly took care of every single detail from the day we began customizing our safari until the day they welcomed us home. Our safari was spectacular by spotting amazing animals and observing their unique behaviors up close. It was made even more extraordinary because of our brilliant, gifted and talented guide, the welcoming, loving and friendly staff and Tanzanians that we encountered along our journey.

Our guide Russ excelled in knowledge of animals including birds, plants, the Masai people and of course the Chagga tribe! Russ was a superb driver while spotting animals, positioning the jeep in the perfect location for photos and observing behaviors, educating us as he was making sure we were comfortable and having a good time.

He treated us like queens keeping his jeep immaculate, cold water within reach, decorative cow tails within reach as needed for flies, binoculars, delicious picnics in the perfect locations throughout the Serengeti National Park under ancient awe-inspiring acacia trees, beside kopjes and tranquil lakes. A few “Russ-isms” include “wi-fi, Kentucky fried chicken chicken, hold tight and all good.”

We had so many memorable highlights it’s hard to narrow them down. A few highlights were observing lion copulation, a lioness cleaning and playing with her four, 4-6 week old cubs, a lioness teaching six, 6-8 month old cubs how to hunt then watching them play and climb an acacia tree when their prey moved out of reach, a hippopotamus walking 30-40’ in front of our tent at night, taking a shower looking out the shower window and seeing giraffes as well as falling asleep to the sounds of hyenas and lions, gazelles pronking, hearing a cheetah call her cub, bat eared fox and serval cat.

The tour of the Maasai Village and our bush dinner were other favorite experiences. We have not stopped talking about or thinking about our life changing safari since we returned home. Our ADS experience was full of what dreams are made!
