Every lodge we stayed with quickly became our favorite, from the luxury of Arusha Coffee Lodge to the outstanding service at Escarpment Luxury Lodge. We absolutely loved the early coffee service in our luxury tent at Seronera Sametu Camp before heading out for our pre-dawn adventures. Lake Masek tented lodge was a total delight. We could hear the hippos grunting and snuffling as they dined on the lawn right outside our tent, and we love the little Bush Baby that lives in the tree near the dining area deck.
Ngorongoro Lion’s Paw camp is so beautiful and luxurious with expansive views of the crater below, we wish we could have stayed there longer! The staff at each and every lodge we visited were so wonderful – always full of smiles – seeing us off in the wee hours of the dawn and welcoming us back each evening. Sleeping under the mosquito netting in our comfortable beds was a great experience.
And I haven’t even started on the actual safari! It was simply unbelievable! By the time we reached Seronera Sametu Camp (our first safari day) we had already encountered a leopard, hippos, lions, hyenas, a family of elephants with a new baby and several generations of sisters and aunts, a hartebeest, and of course, thousands of zebra and wildebeest. It almost felt like the rest of the safari would be anti-climatic, but it was anything but! Each day brought new encounters, new animals and birds to identify, new adventures.
Diddah (Shadrack) is an amazing guide. I still marvel at how he could masterfully handle the truck through muddy mire or roads that were barely tracks in the grass and, at the same time, spot wildlife out on the savannah to point out to us. He would maneuver the truck into the best position for photographs time after time. From the Serengeti to the Ngorongoro to Lake Manyara there was never a dull moment. Each area had its own unique features and creatures.
I am glad I took the time to do the research before taking this trip, and I am especially glad that I chose Africa Dream Safaris. Everything was so perfect and it all came together to make a very memorable vacation.

Outstanding photography!
I especially like that sleepy-eyed hyena photo!
Loved the pictures! They bring back great memories of our trip with African Dream Safaris.
Our safari was life changing and one I want to repeat.
It appears that we arrive right after you left and saw most of the same things you did including the melanistic serval cat
Oops! I hit the wrong button before I was finished typing! We loved going during the green season and saw so many wonderful things, as did you. It’s so much fun to relive our adventure through the eyes of others who experienced similar things. Great photos!
