The Lodges And Guides Were Wonderful

I am a photography enthusiast and envisioned opportunities for wildlife encounters like those I saw on the ADS blog/website. The numbers of wild animals was astounding. Many animals were just yards from our land cruiser.

In fact, a male lion walked just inches from my window, too close to photograph with my long lens on. Elephants walked so close to us that even my second camera with a wider lens could only get their face in the shot.

Thanks for making sure we had bean bags for everyone in our vehicles. We had two vehicles with three of us in each. This was perfect for us. The open top with sunshade made it easy to maneuver to both sides and shoot from high or we could sit and shoot out of the windows for more of an eye level shot.

Our guides, Claude and Elias, have obviously worked with photographers before. They knew how to position our vehicle to get the right light and were eager to move forward or backward, even inches, to get the best view. They were very patient and would sit as long as we wanted to watch and photograph the animals. The animals: monkeys, baboons, giraffes, rhinos, elephants, hippos, jackals, hyenas, warthogs, cape buffalo, wildebeests, lions, leopards, cheetahs, wild African dogs, bat eared fox, gazelles and more!!!!

Obviously, the lodges and the personnel at each were wonderful. The guides were very professional. The food plentiful. After staying in canvas tent camps and smaller cabins our stay at the Four Seasons was an unexpected luxury oasis.

I highly recommend ADS and am confident that anyone wanting a trip of a lifetime will not be disappointed.
