Africa Dream Safaris sets the gold standard for all other safari companies. This was our second trip with ADS. Ann Eilert expertly and patiently organized our safari. She was genuinely interested in preparing us for all aspects of our upcoming adventure.
When we arrived in Tanzania, we were immediately met by VIP representatives who whisked us away from the crowds into a lovely reception room with snacks and beverages. Joseph, the ADS representative, took care of us in Arusha and we felt well-cared for with him in charge.
We stayed 2 nights at the Arusha Coffee Lodge which included a fascinating tour of the coffee plantation and then flew off to the Serengeti to meet our driver/guide, Emmanuel. Emmanuel is awesome! We cannot say enough good things about him. I told him what I expected to see during our time together and he said that he would see what he could do.
Well, Emmanuel successfully fulfilled 98% of my requests with bonuses such as a three cheetah stalk and kill of a baby wildebeest, 16 black rhinos in the Ngorongoro Crater, the elusive caracal, and two striped hyenas…not to mention the lions, elephants, leopards with kills in trees, hippos, warthogs, cape buffalo, birds, etc.
Each day Emmanuel suggested an itinerary for the next day and we are so pleased that we took his expert advice!
We stayed in 4 different camps with each located in beautiful surroundings. The food was delicious and the staff went out of their way to keep us happy and content. At one camp, we had 10 giraffes literally at the edge of our porch in the afternoon.
Special private dinners had been arranged by Ann throughout our trip which added to the romance of our trip after being married 43 years.
We felt special from the first stages of planning until we boarded our plane to return home. Pampering their guests is one of the many trademarks associated with an ADS safari.
Maybe someday we can return on a third safari and get that 2% of my requests filled along with bonuses.
