We had high expectations for our safari to Tanzania, and Africa Dream Safaris not only met them, but exceeded those expectations. We have been following ADS on the internet and Facebook for many years and knew that when the time came to take a safari to Africa we would go with ADS. Often in this kind of situation when you’re so excited about something for so long, it’s easy to get disappointed. After all, we’d seen so many amazing pictures on the ADS website from other people’s safaris that it was going to be hard for our own trip to be as good. But in this case, our safari was everything we hoped it would be – and more.
For starters, ADS made sure we were safe during our trip even though we took our safari during the Covid-19 pandemic. Every place we stayed and every person we came into contact with during our entire trip followed strict safety protocols. Not once did we feel like we are at risk.
We stayed at four different lodges and every one of them was amazing. We had our own cabin or tent at each place, and all of them were so nice. From canopy beds to outdoor showers to incredible food, the lodges we stayed at definitely enhanced our overall safari experience.
Our driver/guide – Ally – was incredible. Not only was he extremely skilled at finding and spotting wildlife, but we learned so much from him during our safari. He had so much knowledge about the various animals we saw and the places we visited. And we were equally impressed with his obvious pride for the country and people of Tanzania.
Of course, the highlight of our safari was the animals. We started our safari in the central Serengeti, which was where the large herd of wildebeests and zebras was migrating this time of the year. To stop and see thousands and thousands of animals as far as you can see in every direction was something we will never forget.
While we were looking forward to seeing all the different kinds of animals, the big cats ended up begin our favorites, and we saw SO MANY lions, cheetahs and leopards. One thing that we didn’t expect was to get so close to these amazing animals – several times we watched lions or cheetahs right beside or even on our vehicle!
Thanks so much to ADS and especially to our guide, Ally. We are already trying to figure out when we will go back!

We’ve gone on two ADS safaris. We were so impressed with Ally we called him “Ally the AWESOME”. We specifically requested him for our second safari and ADS was more than happy to arrange it for us. It was just as awesome the second time!! If we will be able to do a third safari we will ask for Ally the Awesome! No better guide than Ally and no better safari company than ADS!!!
We loved our ADS safari, and want to go back.
Your pictures are wonderful and makes me want to return….we were there in 2019. Hopefully we will return in June 2022 with our grandkids, and of course we will go through Sharon with ADS.
