This was, without a doubt, the most memorable trip of our lives! When people say it is life-changing, they are right! We were totally impressed with the entire ADS staff and the excellent attention to detail which went into the whole safari experience.
Our safari was packed full of memorable events including seeing a kill, a zebra birth, virtually one with a herd of elephants, catching 4 lionesses in a tree together and so much more.
Ben, our safari guide, stated that our safari was one of a kind in what we experienced. I must say that some of the details ADS surprised us with like the bush dinner in the Serengeti were not only fantastic but so surprising.
All our accommodations were top-notch and it was fascinating to see how each lodge had its own personality and feeling. We told many of the staff members that their peers in the U.S. could learn a lot about providing customer service from them.
They were attentive, detail-oriented, friendly, and welcoming. Their concern for our needs and welfare were second to none. We cannot say enough good things about Sametu Camp, Kirawira Lodge, Lion’s Paw Camp and Plantation Lodge. The hot-water bottles in bed were the best!!
What can we say about Ben other than The Best! He made our safari and was a delight to spend nine days with! He really ended up being “one of us” and laughed along and contributed to the fun. His knowledge of the animals was really second-to-none and we were constantly amazed by the things he saw and made us aware of.
We saw a kill in its entirety…from following the lioness as she discovered the wildebeest, keeping up with her as she stalked her prey and then seeing the attack and kill.
To make it even more astounding…we then saw a male lion casually walk across the expanse and steal the kill from the lioness…while she moved away and watched until he was done. Totally amazing. Ben made sure we knew how lucky we were to have experienced this from start to finish!
It was also VERY apparent that Ben has a deep love and respect for the animals and environment as he never “pushed” it to the extent of getting too much in the way of the animals. He also was very aware of our well-being and was extremely careful that we were safe, stopped for lunch in a place that was appropriate and never took any chances when someone had to go to the back of the truck to “check the tire”.
He was a wonderful guy and we all felt blessed he was our guide. Plus, he knew everybody! He really MADE our trip!
Joseph, our point person in Arusha, was a terrific guy and he made sure our entry and exit into Tanzania were good. He answered plenty of questions, accompanied us to the Cultural Heritage Center, got us checked in and made sure we were comfortable with our arrangements and knew what to expect. In addition, he was present when we returned to the Coffee Lodge and got us to the airport. He was very thorough and organized. Also, the private room and customs check upon arrival was a huge plus!
Dawn, we sure appreciate all you have done as well. Your organization skills are second to none and we all were wowed at the speed in which you responded to any of our questions and inquiries. You always had the answers we needed and provided some valuable tips which came in so handy!
I own radio stations and you could sure do a seminar for my salespeople about customer service, client interaction and being a brain trust. You are a pro and we all recognize that. You are great at what you do and ADS is very lucky to have you as their representative in the U.S. Thank you so much for creating an experience which all of us will never forget.
Be assured that all of us will recommend ADS to anyone we talk with. Your company is the best and this entire trip only surpassed the high expectations we had. Very few vacations over-deliver but ADS did in abundance.
Again Dawn, it was a pleasure dealing with you during the entire process and may you and ADS continue to have much success in the future. Tanzania is protecting and growing the wildlife population in a wonderful way and it was amazing to experience it! Thank you again for a life-changing experience!
