Amazing Video From Tanzania!

A special thanks to returning guests Barry and Sandy C. from Titusville, Florida who submitted this extraordinary video recap of their safari. Barry and Sandy traveled with ADS on a 10 night Hemingway safari itinerary from September 5, 2016 to September 15, 2016. They explored the Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire with their guide Claude. Some of the highlights include:

4:00 minutes – Wildebeest crossing the Mara River
7:30 minutes – A rare sighting of a mother and calf rhino in the North Serengeti
20:45 minutes – Two baby leopard cubs in the Central Serengeti
21:15 minutes – The mother leopard tackling a gazelle in the Central Serengeti
33:25 minutes – Lions hunting wildebeest in the Ngorongoro Crater

  1. What an amazing, breath-taking video! This could be a PBS Africa Documentary. Thank you for the wonderful opportipunity to re-live our safari of 2006. What an experience! Only ADS could provide this kind of safari!

    1. Thank you my husband gets the video credit we have hours more. I have only gotten though two days 3 terabytes of photos we will be sending in and writing up unfortunately our computer died, we’re waiting for Hurricane Matthew to pass to order replacement. It was such an amazing trip start to finish. Love, love love Claude, he got us really us special viewing opportunities. We were out sunrise to sunset. Can’t wait to go back!

  2. Thank you so much for posting this video! It was like being there once again! I can’t wait to go back, and your video just reinforces my commitment to visit Africa again!

  3. Thank you for sharing. Very nice video footage. ADS delivered another fantastic safari I can see. I am looking forward to returning someday and will be with ADS.

  4. Barry and Sandy: Your video was amazing! As I watched it, I was almost in a trance watching and absorbing every scene. WOW! Great shots! Loved the music! It brought back many memories of my ADS safari in 2014! Thank you for sharing this with us! I do want to know what camera/lenses you used. Was this a 4K camera? You have excellent footage! Mazie Blanks/New Orleans, LA

    1. Hi Mazie,

The camera I used was the Panasonic HC-V770 HD Camcorder. I recorded in AVCHD 1080p, or full HD not 4K, and youTube knocked that resolution down as well. I’m glad you liked it – Sandy has some amazing photos she hasn’t shared yet (like the leopard kittens nursing), but as of yet we still have no power from Hurricane Matthew and all our time has been in cleanup from the storm.

That trip was the most amazing thing we have ever done – can’t wait to go again.

      Barry

  5. What a wonderful video. You obviously had a great adventure. It’s also nice to read Sandra’s praise of Claude, guide extrodinaire. He was my guide when I visited in 2013. I to was impressed with how accurately he predicted and set up just the right position to get great photos. I look forward to more of your video and photo postings. Jan / Boston
