By Raphael Mollel – Wildebeest Migration

Jambo from Arusha, Tanzania. My name is Raphael Mollel and I am a driver-guide with Africa Dream Safaris. I have just returned from my most recent safari beginning on January 31, 2013 and ending on February 6, 2013. We had many extraordinary wildlife sightings on this safari. One of the highlights occurred on February 3rd near the triangle on the Southern Plains of the Serengeti where we witnessed one of the most amazing wildlife spectacles of the world, the Great Migration. There was a never ending mass of wildebeests enjoying the green grasses, which are rich in macro nutrients like Calcium that are essential for their bodies. I managed to take a picture as shown above, but one needs to see and experience the sights and sounds of the great migration themselves to fully appreciate the magnitude of the event.

Sincerely,

  1. That was our trip! It was absolutely fantastic and Raphael did a SUPER job! We saw an amazing amount of wildlife and I still can’t believe how good Raphael’s eyesight is! He was driving and spotting animals that I had a hard time seeing with the binoculars.

If we ever have the chance to do another trip, it’s ADS and Raphael for us!

    Best regards!

  2. We were the other couple on the trip and it was amazing! Rafael is THE BEST! He was friendly, very knowledgeable, and we thoroughly enjoyed every moment. In the few days we’ve been home we have been telling everyone how great ADS is and that they need to go and experience it themselves. It truly was the trip of a lifetime.

    Thank you so much!

  3. We (13 in our group-all family) had Rafael as one of our guides—-the othe being David Chando(?), and I also can not say enough about these 2 gentleman.
Both very knowledgeable and entertaining. I also would return to Africa thru ADS and request either of these men, because I know I would have the 2nd best time of my life. The 1st best time, was when we were there Dec.26,2012-Jan.9,2013

    Again Rafael & David
